WELCOME

Welcome to the online home for the 2020 SCMYP Youth Basketball Tournament. We are so excited that you have chosen to be a part of this event and we hope that you will see that the Design Team has worked hard to make this the best tournament yet. The purpose of the SCMYP Youth Basketball Tournament is to promote Christian fellowship amongst youth across our conference and provide opportunities for your church to outreach into its surrounding community.

The Design Team would like to thank Mt. Horeb UMC for being our host church for this year’s tournament. We look forward to sharing in worship with them on Sunday morning at 9AM. Thanks to all players, parents, coaches, churches, and volunteers for making this tournament a great tournament.

TOURNAMENT NOTES

Mitch Milford Nominations: The Mitch Milford Trophy is the most coveted award given each year at the SCMYP Youth Basketball Tournament. The Mitch Milford Award is given to a team or church that exemplifies exceptional sportsmanship and Christ-likeness during pool play at the Tournament. If you witness a team of church that you would like to nominate for the Milford Award, please send us an email (basketball@scmyp.org) explaining in detail why you think they deserve the award by 5 PM on Saturday of the Tournament.

Worship: All teams are expected to join us for worship on Sunday morning at 9:00 AM in the contemporary worship center at Mt. Horeb UMC. We are delighted to have Bishop Johnathan Holston as the preacher for our service.

Tournament Social: Be sure to bring your team over to Mt. Horeb UMC student center from 9:00-10:30 PM on Friday night for a night of fun in the middle of our tournament. We want to give youth a chance to get to know other participants from other churches and a chance to have some downtime. There will be pizza, drinks, music, games, and much more. Please make plans to join us.

Tournament Tickets: Tickets/wristbands are required for spectators and are available for purchase at each venue for $5 per day or $10 for a weekend pass.
