Have you ever been discouraged by only having a few youth in your church show up for youth ministry?  Do you wonder what it might be like to join with other churches to form a youth group, but weren’t sure how to do it?  Are you in a church that isn’t able to provide staff for youth ministry?  If you answered yes to any of these questions, then be sure to join us for the Collaborative Youth Ministry Think Tank gathering on April 13th at Trinity UMC, Blythewood from 10-2.    Participants will hear from Rev. Maggie Cantey, leader of United Youth in the Spartanburg District who has successfully launched a collaborative youth ministry there.  Maggie will share how United Youth was begun, the principles that guided her through that process, as well as some potential pitfalls along the way.  So, while you are at it, invite some other adults from your area to join you as part of the time together will be to dream about what the possibilities are for groups in your area.  There is no cost for the event, and lunch will be served.  In order to plan for enough space and food, please complete the online registration by April 10th.   If you have questions reach out to us at info@scmyp.org.
